Combining charcoal and pastel on birch, Beyond the Balsams is Linsey’s first piece since Hurricane Helene. Like finding one’s way through the fog or an unmarked trail, slightly unpredictable mediums challenge perfectionism and embrace uncertainty. Marks made in angst that, together, draft a vision of calm, reminding us that some of life’s most beautiful discoveries are made through moments of discomfort and difficulty.

This piece is eligible for FREE Artist Delivery within a 30-mile radius of Asheville, NC. Artist Delivery within 150 miles from Asheville for a $150 fee. CARE INSTRUCTIONS
This work has been finished with an archival, non-yellowing cold wax that has fully cured, however the artwork surface is still vulnerable and should be handled with care. Avoid scratching with sharp objects, finger nails, etc. When moving or transporting, wrap with acid-free paper topped with a clean towel or quilt. Keep the artwork flat or perfectly plumb with careful support to avoid warping. Keep in a cool, temperature controlled environment out of direct sunlight and high-moisture areas, and away from any strong heat source like a fireplace to prevent fading or excessive swelling. Use flush-mount hardware or the cradled frame itself to display the piece flush against the wall (no wire). Occasionally clean very gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust.
