Charcoal and soft pastels on cradled birch panels, finished with an archival cold wax and hand-crafted solid wood frames

Finding Peace in the Process

Charcoal and soft pastels are messy and somewhat unpredictable, particularly when applied to an unfinished wood grain. From making each batch of charcoal from collected twigs and branches to meticulously applying a cold wax finish and building every frame from hand-selected, locally milled wood, Linsey’s process has evolved into a deeply cathartic practice.
