Working in harmony with natural wood grain, Linsey applies soft pastels and charcoal directly to unfinished birch plywood, fully embracing the organic medium. Her process is deeply therapeutic and deliberately open to imperfection and chance. She transforms hand-collected twigs into charcoal, finishes each artwork with hand-applied cold wax, and crafts every frame from locally sourced hardwoods—a hands-on approach that mirrors the rhythms of the natural world and cultivates an acceptance of the unexpected.

Linsey’s studio embodies the warm, soothing essence of her work. Entering invites a calm, immersive pause that encourages visitors to slow their pace and stay awhile, providing a quiet, intentional space to explore both completed pieces and works in progress.
