Moskowitz Dermatology

A HIVE Collective Collaboration

Completed in May 2022, HIVE Collective lead the design for a 20,000 sq. ft. facility for Dr. Jeff Moskowitz’s dermatology practice which serves over 38,000 patients annually. From the initial concept phase through completion, we worked closely with the builder, architect, vendors, and client to design every element of this new construction project. Areas of focus included the exam, surgery, and autoclave rooms, auxiliary support rooms, and the 4,000 sq. ft. lobby designed with a 27 ft. wide tree root selected by Dr. Jeff as the backdrop to his 32 ft. wide front counter. A retail space accessible from the lobby provides patients with in-house prescriptions, bandages, and other supplies, eliminating the need to hunt down post-op necessities elsewhere. Many elements of the practice were custom designed by HIVE and their collaborators for innovative solutions, support to the amazing staff, and an overall positive experience for the patients. The exterior landscape welcomes protected trees and vegetation to stick around rather than succumb to a scraped-barren lot — a vision of Dr. Jeff himself and one that is parallel to his mission for preserving access to quality care for his patients and staff by keeping his practice private. Incorporating the re-branding process into this collaborative project allowed us to weave a refreshed visual identity throughout the interior and exterior, across business stationery, and onto a new website, creating a cohesive user experience and informing all who interact, both in-person and online.

Linsey’s Scope

  • While much of what makes up a “brand” is your audience’s opinion and feeling toward your business, what it offers, and how it operates, that ever-evolving impression would be difficult without the proper tools to identify and communicate all of the above. Supported by the foundation of your brand framework, a strategic and comprehensive identity system is designed to build brand recognition, loyalty, and trust, converting your audience into customers and helping your business grow.

  • The opportunities to effectively deploy your visual brand assets are endless, from business cards and stationery to marketing materials and product packaging. Backed by experience in print and editorial design, Linsey is well-versed in production processes including digital, offset, and wide-format printing, die-cut templating, color calibration, and material selection, working with fabricators to offer a range of custom options to help your business stand out along retail shelves, at trade shows and networking events, in direct mail marketing campaigns and beyond.

  • Similar to a floor plan and materials schedule created to guide building contractors on the design aspects of a construction project, user interface design focuses on the visual layout and components of a website, mobile app, or device. From page layout and navigation design to colors, fonts, button styles, and more, this service relieves web developers from the creative pressure while ensuring your digital presence effectively supports and communicates your brand.

  • Extending beyond your basic signage, this layered service merges graphic design, architecture, art, lighting, landscaping, and other fields to enhance the user experience of an interior or exterior space. Well-designed environmental graphics – sometimes referred to as experiential graphics – successfully accomplishes three things:

Communicates information – where a visitor is physically situated within the space and why, where in that space they need/want to go, and how to find their way there

Communicates identity – who’s space are they in, what kind of experience they can expect

Connects people to place – what experience are they associating with their time in that space, and what makes them want to return

This highly customized service encompasses distinct but overlapping areas of focus including way-finding systems and placemaking, retail display, exhibition design, mural design, branded spaces, and more, and typically incorporate marketing and advertising efforts.

To offer creative, safe, and accessible solutions, Linsey references her education, experiences, and skill sets in building design and general construction, codes and regulations, fabrication practices, material performance, and interior and graphic design.

  • From print collateral and packaging to online presence, signage, and presentations, your brand's tone and messaging should remain clear and consistent while creatively attracting and connecting to your target audience. Linsey can create or tailor existing copy for a variety of industries, with a niche for the following: Interior Design and Architecture, Real Estate Development, Furniture Design & Manufacturing, Home Renovation, Home Furnishings & Accents, Art & Design.

Behind the Scenes

A Peek at the Process

  • "I am currently building an 20,000 sq ft building for my dermatology practice in Florida and Linsey has been instrumental in this project. She has so many wonderful qualities including her openness to new ideas, her ability to offer advice while still listening to the client, her incredibly easy demeanor and of course her spectacular vision and talent. I am so very delighted to have the opportunity to work with her for the past two years and I look forward to the next step in this ongoing project with her. I can recommend Linsey without any hesitation and can honestly say that anybody who gets to work with her is truly lucky!"
