the process
While all projects are unique, I follow on basic design process for most. See below for a breakdown of what I've found to be the most efficient routine for myself and my clients.

1.
CONSULTATION
After reviewing your submitted project inquiry, I will contact you to schedule a free 30 minute phone consultation. Depending on the need for shared visuals, I may request a followup consultation via Zoom.
Due to C19 precautions, in-person consultations are currently not available unless absolutely necessary.
2.
PREPARATION
If you and I agree that my capabilities and your project are a good fit, I will need to begin collecting all critical information via a Client Questionnaire so that I can accurately assess what I have to work with and what I still may need from you before getting started. Depending on the project, hard content/materials may be collected after the next step.
3.
PROPOSAL
Once I have a strong understanding of your project, I'll carefully tailor a quote and estimated timeline that outlines the scope, deliverables and phases of the project in detail. This proposal will also include an invoice for a down payment if your project meets the requirements for one.
Any changes to the project scope or timeline are subject to additional fees and may even require a brand new proposal to be approved, as well as a new deposit to be paid. All paid deposits are non-refundable and if a project is terminated before completion, I reserve the right to charge for any work completed beyond what that deposit covers.
4.
CONCEPT
Upon your acceptance of the project proposal and the deposit is paid, I will begin working on your project according to the estimated timeline agreed upon. Generally I present 2-4 concepts to determine a certain direction for the project. Mood boards and color palettes are typically included in this exploration.
5.
REFINEMENT
After a specific concept is narrowed down, I will begin to refine all elements of your project based off of your feedback and using the chosen concept to guide me. This phase can often require multiple rounds to get everything just right.
